Practical Music Therapy: Music Activities in Pre-School Special Education

Author's précis This work deals with the use of music therapy in special pre-school education. It focuses on the structure and progression of the activities carried out during the music therapy sessions in special kindergarten Štíbrova. The aim of the thesis is to introduce the purposes and charakteristics of the therapy for this kind of clients and to test the influence and difficulty levels of the activities. The basic methods are experiment and observation. In spite of the fact that the influence on the clients is hard to evaluate, it can be said that the basic objectives have been fulfilled. The difficulty was set on the level possible to manage for all the clients. The benefit of the work is the exact and comprehensible description of a usable structure of music therapy session for children from special pre-school facilities. On the grounds of experience, it defines advantages and disadvantages of the tested activities. The theses can become a source of inspiration for lecturers and teachers in pre- school special education and explain the basic issues to readers without any knowledge from the field. The activities could also be applicable in the common kindergartens.

Role kindergarten in the diagnosis and the development of school readiness

In my thesis I focus on diagnosing school maturity of children and finding out possibilities of its development. In theoretical part I describe pre-school period as such, then I focus on pre- schools involved in the "Beginning together" program. Furthermore, I explain characteristics of school maturity and ways how to develop them, and finally I address Pedagogic - psychological diagnostics of school maturity. In practical part I researched into how pre- schools with the "Beginning together" program work with pre-school children and children with delayed school entry, I also researched if this program has any special procedures for development of school maturity.

Tale as a musical integrativ project for preschoolers and their parents (creation, authentication, methodological ideas into practice)

Author's fairy tale with a musical theme as a means to improve cooperation and kindergarten is the main aim of the thesis. The musical development of the child until the end of the preschool age and its subsequent response opens the theoretical part, musical ability - characteristics, creativity, integration of musical abilities, integrative design, and creative dramatics conclude the theoretical part, which will be followed by a practical part. The practical part will consist of architectural scenario where a subsequent analysis of the Copyright scenarios, questionnaires, interviews and observations will serve as a result of the thesis.

The ELT programmes are oriented at elementary (i.e. primary school kids and lower secondary) and secondary (i.e. upper secondary) school pupils. The typical Czech graduates are well- educated and prepared to teach English to the age-group 6-19. However, the number of English Language teachers teaching pre-primary kids or adults and older adults is increasing every day, and general adult education training and general pre-primary education training is not interconnected with ELT training courses in any way. The survey in practical part confirms the importantance of the development of the educational methods, when children meet sensitive subjects. This thesis advises against death taboo among preschoolers.

Conception of the time as a starting point for art activities in kindergardens

Bachelor thesis is about how children in pre-school age notify the time. Investigates their experience with time concepts, what time identifiers they use and according the results of the research it recommends art activities which gives a deeper understanding about time. These activities are described in the didactic part of the thesis. Research probe at one side decodes the information received from the input diagnostic test, on the other hand, it compares it with what the kid said during the test. Through the realization I get the information from children comments which gave me the base how to improve and take into consideration how developed is their understanding of time. The thesis has its theoretical framework on which I rely. The theoretical part has four main parts: time, children and art, pedagogical and psychological frameworks and artworks which dealing with the theme of time. The empirical part has two main planes, namely the analytical and didactic level. The thesis is therefore looking for a response to which form time appears in children everyday life, how they realize the time through the stimulus, and how art media can enrich these comprehension processes and more specifically approach to the child. Pre-school in a Gallery

The topic of this thesis is Pre-school in a Gallery. This work is closely connected with the exibition Art Nouveau/Vital Art 1900 which was organised by Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague. The first goal of this work is to explore the relationship between education program designed specially for the exibition and the Framework education plan for pre-school education. The second goal is to introduce the term Gallery education based on specialist literature. In the practical part the work is devoted to verify the interest for the exibition and to usage of educational program at first among pre-school teachers and as well for adaptation of own educational program for pre-chool children.
